As previously communicated, VIODA and Albert Sailing Club (ASC) have been working hard to kick off the 2020 winter training program at the lake.
The lake is ideal in winter, when conditions on the bay can be windy and cold. The lake offers flat water, sheltered when windy, easy boat launch, central, etc…
Following are the future events at the lake (Albert Sailing Club):
Jun 21st – Jul 26th – Sunday Winter Coaching Program Part 1 – 6 Sundays
1st-2nd – VIODA Winter Holiday Camp 1 – 2 days
8th-9th – VIODA Winter Holiday Camp 2 – 2 days
Aug 2nd-Sep 6th – Sunday Winter Coaching Program Part 2 – 6 Sundays
Albert Sailing Club remind participants that being members of ASC entitles sailors to join in Saturday racing when this recommences.
ASC reminds parents that this program can only resume under certain conditions that are required to ensure the safety of all members.
Families will need to follow the standard distancing restrictions and ASC understands that given the very high public profile of our Lake side location, VIODA families will act responsibly and ensure that this works for everyone. The Club has upgraded their cleaning regime but VIODA is responsible for sanitizing the RIBS etc. Special protocols have been developed and will be distributed to participants.
Last but not least, unfortunately, due to the precautions we have to take, spots are very limited. First bookings will have priority. If we cannot fit everyone booked, we will have to organise refunds.

Boat storage at ASC can be purchased directly via the ASC website.
