From the Optimist Worlds to an Olympic 49ers campaign. What a career!
James is the only Vic Optimist sailor who participated at a World Championship since 2013. Coincidentally, it was in Lake Garda, where the 2020 Worlds was supposed to happen and where we had 2 excellent VIC sailors qualified and with good chances: Matty Goss and Aidan Simmons.
James has been training hard for a few year to try qualify to the Olympics in 49ers. He recently competed in the 2019 Worlds in Auckland and 2020 Worlds in Geelong where he won the Under 23 World Title!
Not only an amazing sailor, also a fantastic coach who trained many VIODA sailors in the last few years.
